BCOME --> PRCOME/PRCM
After a search involving proposals and solicitations from eight universities, two music festivals and several consortia of music festivals and colleges, I am pleased to announce that the Brevard Conference on Music Entrepreneurship (BCOME) is becoming the Puerto Rico Conference on Music Entrepreneurship (PRCOME), as part of the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music (PRCM)!
I am very excited about this new relationship. PRCOME will be held at their brand-new facility in Miramar, near Old San Juan, overlooking the ocean and adjacent to the resort area. Please stay tuned to this website for further information.
Pre-conference Seminar on Career Development and Entrepreneurship at the National Conference of the College Music Society, September 24, Atlanta, GA
I chair the Committee on Career Development and Entrepreneurship of the College Music Society, and we will be presenting a pre-conference seminar at the upcoming CMS National Conference. This will take place on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 in Atlanta. Details can be found on the CMS Website.
While logistics prevented us from reorganizing BCOME in time for this summer, I strongly urge you to attend this seminar. It will also include
presentations by past BCOME speakers, and should be great!
